Taking theatre to the country...

Between 1996 and 2018, North Country Theatre, based in Richmond North Yorkshire produced and toured professional theatre out into the country, touring to village halls, small theatres, arts centres, churches, auction marts, castles and gardens. We performed from Hereford and Shropshire to the Scottish Borders and Highlands though most of our work was in our native North Yorkshire region. We also created numerous educational drama and site specific interpretations at venues of historic interest. The Company is no longer active but many of our creatives are still devising and available for projects and performance opportunities.
