What did they do?
"Greece not Grease!" Each day included training workshops in Acting and Stage Craft, Mask, or Movement or Choral speaking followed by devising sessions, leading to rehearsal of a new performance based on the legend of the Cretan Bull Dancers, Theseus and the Minotaur on Saturday 5th August.
The Dales Countryside Museum is a great place to work in a fantastic setting but the special appeal lies in re-purposing the outdoor auction mart with its circular space and stepped seating to recreate an ancient Greek theatre. Getting to Hawes everyday can be tricky if you live outside Wensleydale, but thanks to parents, participants and the Theatre van this was made possible with ease.
Participants were 14-20years old.
Will there be an opportunity in 2018?
